Diana J. Mohler
Diana J. Mohler, 76, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in Donnell House, Washington, following an extended and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born July 17, 1941, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late George A. Sr. and Olive Gardner Andrews.
Mrs. Mohler was a 1959 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and attended Allegheny County Community College.
She lived most of her life in Canonsburg, where she was a member of Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Mohler had been a member of the AGA in Canonsburg, where she served as president for many years. She was also employed tending bar and waitressing at the club, jobs she also had at the former Kelly’s Pub and Brown Derby restaurants.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was a former member of the Fourth of July parade committee.
On December 2, 1972, she married Gary T. Mohler, who survives.
Also left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Drew Mohler of Bridgeville; her daughter, M. Blake Mohler of Forest Hills; her “other son,” John Saffel of Boca Raton, Fla.; brother Barry Andrews and wife Linda of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a brother, George A. Andrews Jr.
Friends and relatives are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, Darla Tripoli, LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Good Friday, March 30, with her husband, the Rev. Gary T. Mohler, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society and Concordia Hospice of Washington.
