Sherry Deana Wright, 71, of Chicago, Ill., passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017.

Sherry was born and raised in Carmichaels. She graduated from University of Pittsburgh with a degree in journalism and moved to New York City, accepting a job with McGraw-Hill Publishing Co. She was a member of Screen Actors Guild and had numerous small roles on TV and in film, including General Hospital and Ghostbusters.

She married John Kearny, who survives. Upon her retirement, she moved to Chicago to care for her mother.

Sherry is also survived by cousins Sharon Smith (Lou) Rodavich and Shelley Smith (Bob) Bozzuto and their families.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Miles and Alwina Rostowick; her aunt Marion and Uncle Smitty (J. Clarence) Smith; and her parents, Alice Wright and Patrick Wright.
