Edward Abraham

Edward Abraham, 93, of Bridgeville, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018, in Country Meadows, Bridgeville.

Born July 22, 1924, in Canonsburg, he was one of six children of the late Phillip and Mary Joseph Abraham.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II and Korea as a radio operator and machine gunner, retiring as full colonel.

He was well-known at Peters Township High School, teaching geography and history and coaching track. He was a member of Chartiers Masonic Lodge 297. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Along with his parents, deceased are his loving wife, Lucille; five siblings; three nieces and nephews; and a great-nephew.

He will be remembered and missed by his daughter, Lynn Abraham; 10 nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and nephews; and a great-great-niece.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Beinhauer’s, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-941-3211, where a funeral service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5.
