Robert J. Makcen
Robert J. Makcen, 75, of Clarksville, died Saturday, April 28, 2018, in his home.
He was born September 12, 1942, in Waynesburg, a son of the late William and Catherine Vadock Makcen.
Mr. Makcen was a retired miner from the former Clyde Mine in Fredericktown.
Robert was a member of St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Clarksville.
He was a member of UMWA and a volunteer fireman with Clarksville Volunteer Fire Dept. for many years.
Mr. Makcen is survived by two brothers, John Makcen (Beverly) of Willowick, Ohio, and Thomas Makcen (Maxine “Mickey”) of Carmichaels; a sister, Catherine Kasperski of Mentor, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Donna Moon Makcen; two sisters, Helen Cieslinski and Sylvia Burich; and two brothers, George Makcen and William Makcen Jr.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 3, in St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, 30 Main Street, Clarksville, with the Rev. Francis Frazer as celebrant. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
