Ruth E. Petras
Ruth E. Petras, 83, of Lawrence, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
Born December 3, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Mary and Chester Harrington, and she was a stepdaughter to Dave Ritchie.
She was the beloved wife to Richard Petras for over 60 years; loving mother to Michael (Lauren) Petras, Marc Petras and Renee (Tony) Castelveter; cherished grandmother to Robert Petras, Alison (Jonathan) Ogurchak, Becca (Gary) Pierpont, Madison Castelveter, Ryan and Julia Petras; dear great-grandmother to Wylie, Levi and Violet Ogurchak and Kaelyn and Brayden Pierpont; and loving sister to Lois Selva.
Ruth was preceded in death by her son Richard “Richie” Petras and her siblings Chester, Jimmy, Paul and Eunice.
Ruth loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she will be dearly missed.
