Stephen E. Klinger

Stephen E. Klinger, 63, of Cokeburg, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018, in Washington Hospital.

He was born November 26, 1954, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Steve Jr. and Margaret Dillie Klinger.

Mr. Klinger was a 1973 graduate of Canon-McMillian High School.

For more than 30 years, he owned and operated Klinger’s Auto Body in Centerville.

His grandchildren were extremely important to him and he thoroughly enjoyed attending their sporting events, as well as watching soccer games on TV. Family and home life were the most important things in his life. Visiting with his sister also brought him special joy.

On June 8, 2001, he married Jeanie Baldwin Klinger, who survives.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are seven children, Karen Swogger and Christine Russell, both of Washington, and Taylor Hunsicker, Timothy Hunsicker, Trentan and Trevor Burnsworth and Cynthia Russell, all of Cokeburg; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two sisters, Linda Gilpin (Ron) and Kim Zullo, both of Canonsburg; and several special nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a brother, Jeffrey Bird.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 6, in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville. Interment will be private.
