Ronald C. Charlier
Ronald C. Charlier, 85, of Jamestown, formerly of McDonald, died Saturday, May 5, 2018.
He was born October 13, 1932, in Robinson Township, a son of Calvin and Edith Baker Charlier.
Mr. Charlier was a graduate of West Allegheny High School. He worked as a psychiatric aide at Woodville State Hospital for over 30 years, retiring in 1985.
He enjoyed fishing, going to dinner with his companion of 18 years, Janet Rosser of Midway, and riding his John Deere tractor.
On June 15, 1970, he married Catherine L. Sheets, who died July 24, 1998.
Surviving are two daughters, Cindy L. Gonze of Munhall and Linda S. Merritt of Baden; a son, Ronald J. Charlier of McDonald; two brothers, Albert “Tubby” Charlier of Midway and Calvin “Bud” Charlier of Hermitage; and two grandchildren, Tyler and Brett Merritt.
Deceased is a sister, Donna “Doe” Clark.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 East Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, PA 15057, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 10. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
