Ruth R. Tustin
Ruth R. Tustin, 77, of Washington, went to be with her Lord Friday, May 11, 2018, peacefully and surrounded by family.
She was born September 16, 1940, in Amity, a daughter of the late Norton E. and Nancy Waychoff Reese.
Mrs. Tustin attended first and second grade in the one-room schoolhouse on Ridge Church Road in Amity, where she was the only child in the class. She went on to graduate in 1958 from Trinity High School.
Mrs. Tustin was a lifelong member, from birth until death, of North Ten Mile Baptist Church.
She worked for Dr. Jim Corwin in Houston in 1959, and for Dr. Hadlock from 1960 to 1985. Mrs. Tustin then went on to work for Dr. Bardzil from 1985 to 2000, and was employed as office manager for Dr. Robert Lesnock from 2000 to 2005. She then became employed at Tandem from 2005 to 2009, when she officially retired.
Mrs. Tustin was a member of Washington County Medical Assistant Association. She was an avid bowler and loved traveling and camping. Mrs. Tustin also liked to can and make pies. Most of all, she loved spending time with her special grandson, Justin.
On September 7, 1974, she married Clifford M. Tustin Jr., who died April 14, 2014.
Surviving are a son, Frank Tustin of Washington; two daughters, Joyce (Gerald) Hay of Washington and Sherry Tustin Moninger of Washington; a brother, John Reese of Benezette; a sister, Lenora Traficanti of Washington; grandchildren Justin and Ashley, Nathan, Megan, Brayden, Jerry (Betsy), Marcie, Stephanie and Jeffrey; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a son, Howard; a grandson, Joseph; two brothers, Ralph and Mike; and four sisters, Betty, Doris, Mary and Wilma.
Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and noon to 1 p.m., the time of service, Wednesday, May 16, in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., corner of Wilson and East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, with Pastor Gary Schneider officiating. Burial will follow in North Ten Mile Cemetery, Amity.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Ten Mile Baptist Church, 322 Ridge Church Road, Amity, PA 15311.
