Thelma Jane Finch
Thelma Jane Finch, 91, of Washington, died Saturday, May 12, 2018, in Washington Hospital.
She was born November 23, 1926, in Nineveh, a daughter of the late A.R. and Kitsey Rush McCullough.
A 1946 graduate of Waynesburg High School, she was a member of Laboratory Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Finch worked for Tygart Valley and later for Brockway Glass, from where she retired.
She was very active in her church and was one of the first three women elders to serve. Thelma also volunteered at Presbyterian SeniorCare.
On August 23, 1956, she married Robert Eugene Finch, who survives.
Also surviving are a sister, Eileen Brumage of Waynesburg, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased are a brother, Rush McCullough, and two sisters, Louise “Bee” Beabout and Virginia Remlay.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 17, with the Rev. Donna Christopher officiating. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
