Mary E. Cunningham Garcia

Mary E. Cunningham Garcia, 85, of Langeloth, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours Saturday, May 12, 2018, in Bridgeville Rehabilitation and Care Center.
She was born April 12, 1933, in Cross Creek, a daughter of the late Norman E. and Laura M. Peters Cunningham.
Mrs. Garcia was a lifelong member of the former Hillcrest Presbyterian Church in Burgettstown, where she served in many capacities, including as an elder. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star of Burgettstown. In later years, she was a member of Langeloth Community Presbyterian Church.
A graduate of Union High School in Burgettstown, she retired from US Airways as a supervisor of reservations.
Her husband, Albert Garcia, whom she married July 11, 1959, passed away November 1, 2014.
Surviving are her son, Dana Garcia and wife Ellen of Peters Township; two grandchildren, Alexandra and James Garcia; two brothers, Clarence “Buzz” Cunningham of Bentonville, Ark., and Raymond Cunningham of Burgettstown; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are two sisters, Darla Mohr and Ann Filkorn, and three brothers, Norman, Robert and Colin Cunningham.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 25, in Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown. Services and inurnment will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 26, in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1150 Morgan Road, Bridgeville. Those attending the services are asked to go directly to the cemetery Saturday morning.
As Mary had a passion for reading, the family requests any donations be directed in her memory to Peters Township Public Library.
