Catherine “Aunt Katie” Pritts, 82, of Strabane, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018, in McMurray Hills Manor.

She was born April 5, 1936, in Houston, a daughter of Samuel and Rose Muto Raymond.

Mrs. Pritts attended Chartiers High School.

She worked in the dietary department of Washington & Jefferson College and for more than 25 years at Canonsburg Hospital, from where she retired in 1991.

Mrs. Pritts was a devout Catholic and attended St. Patrick Church in Canonsburg.

She was an avid walker and enjoyed flea markets, garage sales, baking and cooking.

Aunt Katie enjoyed family gatherings and became the hostess whenever anyone visited. She made everyone feel at home and no one left hungry.

In October 1972, she married Robert E. Pritts, who survives.

Also surviving are two brothers, Louis Raymond of Houston and her twin brother, John Raymond of Strabane; two sisters, Angeline Devine of Claymont, Del., and Rose Marie Pochiba (Barry) of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is a brother, Guy Raymond.

At the request of the deceased, all services are private. Arrangements are entrusted to McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Patrick Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
