Edward A. Rosenwald, 88, of Canonsburg, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018, in TownView Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg.

He was born November 23, 1929, in McKees Rocks, a son of the late Lawrence and Marie Lindfelser Rosenwald.

Mr. Rosenwald was a graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School in McKees Rocks.

He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg. He was also a member of the PNCU in Canonsburg.

He enjoyed bowling and playing cards and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.

Cliff Heath Ford employed him as a cashier and bookkeeper for 50 years.

On September 13, 1958, in Holy Innocents Church, Sheridan, he married Mary Jane Herriott, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Patricia (Ajay) White of Cecil and Donna (Lloyd) Leichliter of McDonald; two sons, Lawrence (Kristine) Rosenwald of Canonsburg and David (Susan) Rosenwald of Glen Burnie, Md.; 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy Barker of McKees Rocks and Kate Wheeler of Brookline; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a daughter, Deborah L. Rosenwald; two sisters, Rose Draucker and Mary Brown; three brothers, Lawrence, Frank and Joseph Rosenwald; and a great-granddaughter, Hope Noelle Zirwas.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 194 East College Street, Canonsburg, where departing prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 22. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
