Stella Louise Bevelhimer
Stella Louise Bevelhimer, 85, of Bridgeville, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018.
She was born February 12, 1933, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Louis and Mamie Foe Zanakis.
Prior to her retirement as an advanced nursing assistant, she worked at Washington Hospital.
She was known for her outgoing and friendly personality. Stella loved God, people and telling people about God.
Stella was a longtime member of Central Assembly of God Church in Houston, where she was a Sunday school teacher at the former Glad Tidings Tabernacle. In her youth, she was a member of the Kathryn Kuhlman choir.
Surviving are a daughter, Michelle Bevelhimer Kortyna of Castle Shannon, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Charles Bevelhimer, and siblings John Zanakis, Irene Straka, Mary Ann Zanakis, Gladys Zanakis and Jim Zanakis.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26. Burial will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg. A memorial service will follow in Vanadium Woods Village in Bridgeville.
