Dennis A. Zalaznik, 63, of Bulger, passed away suddenly Friday, November 2, 2018.

He was born April 18, 1955, a son of the late Donald and Donna Nagode Zalaznik.

Dennis was the beloved husband of 38 years to Cynthia Felton Zalaznik, who survives. He was the dedicated and caring father of Bryan (Laura) Zalaznik and Kevin (Abbey) Zalaznik; cherished grandfather of Clara Zalaznik; and brother of Donald (Paula) Zalaznik, Diane (Dan) Bucker and Debbie Zalaznik.

Mr. Zalaznik was a graduate of Burgettstown High School and Penn State University. He was a retired contractor for the family businesses, Falling Timber, Midway Block and Midway Contracting.

Dennis was also a very active member of Raccoon Presbyterian Church and a former member of Midway Volunteer Fire Department.

Dennis was one who enjoyed his family and life to the fullest, and, most of all, he enjoyed helping people. No matter the size of the project, he would be there with his hard working hands, kind smile and words of encouragement.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Dennis’s life at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, in Raccoon Presbyterian Church, 858 Candor Road, Bulger.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215; Raccoon Presbyterian Church, 858 Candor Road, Bulger, PA 15019; or to do an act of kindness for someone.
