Virginia Simmons
Virginia Simmons, 91, of Finleyville, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018, in Caring Heights Community Care and Rehabilitation, Coraopolis.
Born August 24, 1927, in New Eagle, she was a daughter of the late George Pinchok and Anna.
Virginia worked for over 25 years as a waitress for Hills Restaurant in New Eagle.
Surviving are a son, David Simmons Jr. of Finleyville; son-in-law James Zelinsky of Finleyville; sister Ruth Moskal of New Eagle; two great-grandchildren, John “Jack” III and Lila Virginia Sothergill, and their father John J. Sothergill II of Greentree.
Preceding her in death are her husband, David Simmons Sr., who died September 9, 2007; daughter, Kathleen Simmons Zelinsky, who died October 30, 2007; granddaughter Anna M. Zelinsky Sothergill, who died October 21, 2009; two brothers, John Pinchok and Arthur Pinchok; and a sister, Margaret Van Voorhis.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, November 9, in Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767. At the families request, interment will be private and held in Mingo Cemetery, Finleyville. Condolences can be made at marshallmarrafuneralhome.com.
