Kathryne Chadwick
Kathryne “Kay” Chadwick, 86, passed away peacefully in her home Friday, November 9, 2018.
She was born February 8, 1932, in Washington, a daughter of William H. and Mary Essie Shoup Garber.
Throughout her career, Kay was an office manager for three separate dental offices in Washington. She owned a dress shop and managed a local shoe store in Washington as well.
She was a lover of dogs and flowers.
On August 20, 1951, she married Harold Chadwick, who passed away 24 years ago February 4, 1994.
Surviving are her son, John (Kim) Chadwick of Washington; three grandchildren, Scott and Susan Clark of Washington, Ian Clark and Jennifer Grace of Valencia, and Samantha Chadwick and Joe Buchanan of Washington; a sister, Margaret “Peg” Poland of Washington; and a brother, Ralph and Judy Garber of Jane Lew, W.Va.
Also surviving is her dog and best friend, Saydee.
Deceased are three brothers, Robert, Harry and William Garber.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Hummell & Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Ave., Washington, Thomas W. Hummell, supervisor, Douglas M. Jones, director, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 12. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville.
