Patricia J. Huffman
Patricia J. “Patty” Huffman, 85, of Washington, died Sunday, November 11, 2018, in Presbyterian Senior Care.
She was born October 7, 1933, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Nell Dunn Huffman.
Patty was a member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church and a 1952 graduate of Washington High School.
She worked in accounting at Hazel Atlas, Continental Can and Brockway Glass plants for 29 years, until the closing of Plant 7 in 1984.
She then worked as a bookkeeper for the Salvation Army for six years and the YWCA for 15 years, retiring September 29, 2000.
Patty was a lifetime member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She enjoyed reading and watching television.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three sisters, JoAnn Musto, McClese Ermacoff and Betty Ramsey; three brothers, Dick Huffman, Joseph Huffman Jr. and an infant brother who died at birth.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 15, with Pastor Gary Whipkey officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
