Robert M. Gulley
Robert M. Gulley, 65, of Clarksville and formerly of Bitner, Fayette County, died Thursday, November 8, 2018, in his home.
He was born January 27, 1953, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Robert H. and Carol Meider Gulley.
Mr. Gulley was a graduate of Uniontown High School and served with the U.S. Air Force from 1975 until 1979.
He resided in Clarksville for the past 15 years and was employed as a roof bolter at Contura Cumberland Mine. Mr. Gulley was a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 2300 and had worked in underground coal mining for the past 40 years. He was known for his strong work ethic and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.
Surviving are four sons, Marshall L. Shankle and wife Regina of Fairchance, Sean R. Gulley and wife Rebekah of Liberty, N.Y., Thomas Gulley of Livingston Manor, N.Y., and Michael P. Gulley, at home; a daughter, Heather Pierpoint of Bushkill; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Cathy Kyle and husband Kent of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a sister, Karen Miller.
Family and friends are welcome from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 16, in Yoskovich Funeral Home, 724-966-5500, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, where a memorial service will follow at 8 p.m. The Rev. H. David McElroy will officiate.
