Ruth Cook Naeser
Ruth Cook Naeser, 93, of Buffalo Township, died Monday, November 12, 2018, in her home peacefully surrounded by her family.
She was born September 5, 1925, in Niles, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ernest Lockwood Cook and Edith Mae Underwood Cook.
Ruth graduated from Baldwin High School and Suburban General Nursing School.
She worked as a registered nurse at Magee-Womens Hospital and St. Clair Hospital and later as a school nurse in Peters Township School District.
She always said, “She has been a good Cook all of her life.”
Ruth was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and its Altar Guild and also a member of Washington Chorus.
On August 28, 1948, she married Curt L. Naeser, who died December 25, 1995.
Surviving are two sons, Peter C. (Linda P.) Naeser of Claysville, Gary A. (JoAnn) Naeser of Washington; a daughter, Ruth N. Dewitt of Washington; four grandchildren, Micah P. (Mary) Naeser, Chad P. (Jessica) Naeser, Nicole R. (Scott) Modesitt and Renee L. (George) Jones; and nine great-grandchildren.
All services are private and entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a hospice of one’s choice.
