Harold L. Eisiminger

Harold L. Eisiminger, 71, of Waynesburg, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, with his family by his side.

He was born July 2, 1947, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Charles W. Eisiminger and Agnes Joanna Cowell Eisiminger.

He was a 1965 graduate of Waynesburg High School.

He worked in the meat department at Foodland in Waynesburg until enlisting in the U.S. Army, where he served for two years and was stationed in Germany.

Harold apprenticed as a heavy equipment mechanic and operator and mechanic with C.J. Langenfelder, working on railroad construction. He went on to work as an operator for S.J. Groves during the construction of Interstate 79.

He retired from Emerald Mine in Waynesburg, where he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic.

He attended Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Waynesburg and was a member of Fairall United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Waynesburg Lodge 153, Free and Accepted Masons, in Waynesburg.

Harold enjoyed farming, blacksmithing and welding. He was a Civil War buff. He also liked to hunt, fish and spend time at his cabin with his beloved dogs, Patch and Cinder, by his side.

Surviving are a son, Brian Eisiminger of Waynesburg; a daughter, Betsy Hawfield and husband Tim of Waynesburg; two granddaughters, Camryn and Haley Hawfield; and many cousins.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 24, followed by interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Whiteley Township.
