Sonia Watsula Chicora, 75, of Finleyville, formerly of Cokeburg, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018, in Donnell House, Washington.

She was born July 7, 1943, in Cokeburg, a daughter of the late Albert and Eva Shultz Watsula.

Mrs. Chicora was a graduate of Ellsworth High School.

She was employed as a detailer at Corning Glass, Charleroi, from where she retired.

Sonia enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, Sunday rides and traveling to casinos, but her main interest was her family.

On May 30, 1969, she married Theodore “Ted” Chicora, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Carrie Karolcik (Thomas) and Lisa Hollingsworth, both of Finleyville; a brother, Albert Watsula (Maria) of Scenery Hill; a sister, Linda Terrett of Bentleyville; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 29, with the Very Rev. Gregory Peterson officiating. Interment will follow in Scenery Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 1000 Lookout Avenue, Charleroi, PA 15022.
