Thomas Leonard Wright
Thomas Leonard “Stick” Wright, 37, of West Alexander, died Saturday, November 24, 2018, in his home.
He was born January 6, 1981, in Washington, a son of Leonard J. Comer Sr. and the late Judy F. Wright.
Mr. Wright attended Trinity schools and went on to work for Advanced Oil Field Services.
He loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates and enjoyed coaching football.
On March 8, 2013, in Meadville, he married Sara Ann Canter, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Jayla and Jaxie Wright, both of Washington; four stepchildren, Sean, Caelin, Catherine and Liam McGowan, all of West Alexander; a nephew, Jayden Conklin, who was like a son; two grandparents, Wilma Loucks of Illinois and Karen Comer of Washington; four brothers, J.R. (Missy) Comer, Michael Comer and Taylor Wright, all of Washington, and Matt Comer of Pittsburgh; four sisters, Kathy (Chris) Crum, Candy (Jake) Dille and Cortney Orgovan, all of Washington, and Hope (Cody) Norwood of Florida; a stepbrother, Bobby Orgovan of West Virginia; a stepsister, Crystal Orgovan of Florida; four aunts, Liz Comer, Darla Rogers, Tammie (Teddy) Knox and Wanda (Ed Moore) Wagner, all of Washington; five uncles, Ken (Sandy) Comer of Illinois, Carl Comer and John (Terri) Comer, both of Washington, Mike (Joy) Wright of Avella and Rickey Wright of Texas; his mother-in-law, Jacqueline (William) Winter, and father-in-law, Michael Canter, both of Meadville; nine nieces; eight nephews; a great-nephew; and several cousins.
Deceased are his grandfather, Carl Comer; his grandmother, Jean Lindley; his uncle, Bill Comer; and several cousins.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 1, with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating. All other services will be private.
