Adia Ruth Criss Hook Hummell Clutter
Adia Ruth Criss Hook Hummell Clutter, 95, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018, in Donnell House, Washington, surrounded by her loving daughters.
She was born November 26, 1922, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Curtis R. Criss Sr. and Florence B. Cornwall Criss. She was the last of her immediate family.
She was active in her community, serving in excess of 25 years with Washington Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a past worthy matron and lifelong member of Order of the Eastern Star Martha V. Paul Chapter and a member of First United Methodist Church, Washington.
Surviving are her daughters, Kitty Boksan, Pat Bobadilla (Phil) and Adia Douglas; stepchildren Thomas Hummell (Mary Ellen), Carol Balaz (Richard), Tracy Clutter (Donna) and Terry Clutter (Janice); grandchildren Erin Kirkland, Justin Boksan, Marisa Larsen, Andrea Bobadilla, Craig Hummell, Amy Leute, Jeffrey Balaz and Andrew Balaz; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her husbands, William P. Hook, who died in February 1970, Robert E. Hummell Sr., who died in December 1981, and Charles A. Clutter, who died in August 2004.
A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Donnell House, 10 Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301.
