Steven J. Chmiel
Steven J. Chmiel, 63, of Canonsburg, died Monday, October 1, 2018.
He was born December 8, 1954, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Stanley and Frances Ciesla Chmiel.
Steven was Catholic.
Prior to his retirement, he worked in the construction industry.
Steven enjoyed traveling and loved his life adventures. Fishing and gardening were among his favorite pastimes.
Surviving are his brother, Michael (Joanne) Chmiel of Monongahela; sister Nancy (Patrick Shannon) Chmiel of Canonsburg; nieces and nephews Michelle (Jim) Timmons, John Chmiel, Rachael (Kirk Wilkens) Chmiel and Michael Chmiel Jr.; and two great-nieces and nephews, Bishop and Justice.
Friends will be received from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., the time of departing prayers, Wednesday, October 3, in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at noon in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
