Robert Spiller Jr.

Robert “Pickles” Spiller Jr., 63, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 6, 2018, in Canonsburg Hospital.

He was born September 30, 1955, in Canonsburg, to Robert Spiller Sr. and Ruth Hilderbrand Spiller, who preceded him in death.

On September 18, 2004, he married Patricia Raspet, who survives.

Mr. Spiller was a floral designer for many years at various floral shops in the area. He had many hobbies and interests, including coaching Little League teams, going to the mountains, fishing and spending time with his family and large circle of friends and especially his best bud, Jasper.

He was known as a great cook and a big Steelers fan. His passion was wrestling, and he was a scorekeeper for many, many tournaments over the years at numerous wrestling matches in the area.

Robert belonged to many clubs, including the American Legion in Houston, Raccoon Valley Sportsman Association and Houston Independent Club.

In addition to his wife, surviving are his daughter, Cara N. Spiller of Georgia, sister Cindy J. Blough of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Peggy L. Creggar.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Tuesday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, and Darla A. Tripoli, LFD, 3204 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 10. Interment in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray, will be private.
