Bridget Rose Broaddrick, 52, of Washington, formerly of Jeannette, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018.

She was born December 9, 1965, in Jeannette, a daughter of Morrison F. and Rosemary Sheridan Lewis, who survive.

A 1983 graduate of Jeannette High School, she went on to earn a bachelor of science degree in social work from Gannon University. There, she was a founding member of Tri Sigma sorority and met the love of her life, Terry Broaddrick, who survives. They married May 23, 1987, in Sacred Heart Parish, Jeannette, and enjoyed 31 beautiful years of marriage.

Bridget gave herself entirely to her community, leaving a mark on everyone she met. She was an active member of her community, serving as a volunteer with Trinity Parent-Teacher Association, Girl Scouts and Trinity Ice Hockey Club. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish and worked as bookkeeper for Battery Systems Inc.

More than anything, Bridget was the perfect mother to her three children: two daughters, Megan (Alex) Cleary and Allison Broaddrick, and a son, Ryan Broaddrick. Her children and husband were the center of her life, while she was the steady rock at the center of theirs. She found joy in their happiness, always putting others before herself. Bridget spent a great deal of her free time in an ice rink, scrapbooking and traveling with family, especially to Rehoboth Beach, Del., where she visited with family for nearly 50 years.

Also surviving are three sisters, Diane (Neil) Ebner of Wexford, Karen (Ed) Primm of Mt. Lebanon and Susan McFarland of Hempfield; her father- and mother-in-law, Charles and Joyce Dunn Broaddrick; sister-in-law Sandy (Jon) Miller of Lewisburg; and nieces and nephews Connor, Jonathan, Rachel, Olivia, Amanda, Samuel, Holly, Isabella, Michaela, Chase, Nicole and Riley.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Piatt & Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 119 West Chestnut Street, Washington. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Bridget Broaddrick Memorial Fund through WCCF’s Mothers Fund. Checks may be made payable to “WCCF.” Please note Mother’s Fund/Bridget Broaddrick in the memo line. Gifts may also be made by visiting www.wccf.net.

Arrangements are entrusted to Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Directors Inc., Charles R. Piatt, owner/supervisor, Lawrence K. Donovan, director.

Condolences may be expressed at www.piattandbarnhillfh.com.
