Bernice C. Shuman
Bernice C. Shuman, 70, of Waynesburg, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018, in her home.
She was born July 13, 1948, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Jesse L. and Lillian Clark Anderson.
A 1966 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School, Bernice worked for Greenway Manufacturing in Waynesburg, until it closed. She then went to work for Flushing Shirt Factory and for 19 years as a bus driver for Fox’s White Barn.
She was Baptist.
She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, Moose Lodge, American Legion and Eagles Club in Waynesburg.
Surviving are three daughters, Pam Lemley (Greg) of Waynesburg, Kendra Shoffner (Chad) of Waynesburg and Carla Jacobs (Dave) of Graysville; a son, Travis Tustin (Tracy) of Waynesburg; seven grandchildren, Danielle Eddy, Lacey Lemley, Zach McGinnis, J.C. Tennant, Jake Tennant, Tyler Rogers and Ashley Rogers; four great-grandsons, Ryder Riggs, Landyn Hartlaub, Jace Eddy and Parker Eddy; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are an infant daughter, Carolyn; two brothers, Gerald Anderson and Conrad Anderson; and three sisters, Helen Straight, Sandra Black and A. Waneita “Sis” Baysinger.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, with Pastor Robert Mooney officiating. Interment will follow in Oakmont Cemetery.
