Ronald L. Wilson
Ronald L. Wilson, 79, of Washington, died Tuesday, October 16, 2018, in Donnell House, Washington.
He was born October 21, 1938, in Washington, a son of the late Roy H. and Doris Vandegrift Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was part owner of C. Bennett Auto Supply in Washington.
He was a member of West Washington United Methodist Church.
He was an active firefighter for North Franklin Volunteer Fire Company for 30 years and retired as assistant chief, as well as remaining a life member.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a member of American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175, Arms Club, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 22, Washington, and the Covered-Bridge Region of Antique Automobile Club of America.
On February 27, 1959, he married Susan Lott, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Holly R. Boothby and Wendy S. (Keith) Wolfe, both of Washington; four grandchildren, Justin (Lauren) Boothby, Joshua (Makala Amalota) Boothby, Christopher (Lauren Beels) Wolfe and Brandon Wolfe; and a son-in-law, Roger W. Boothby.
Deceased is a granddaughter, Nicole Boothby.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Friday, October 19, in Hummell and Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery, with military honors accorded by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
