Emil L. Luongo
Emil L. “Lenny” Luongo, 78, of Washington, died Tuesday, October 16, 2018, in Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington, following a brief illness.
He was born June 4, 1940, in Washington, a son of the late Louis D. and Anna Pignanelli Luongo.
Mr. Luongo was a graduate of Washington High School and Geneva College.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
Mr. Luongo was employed as a buyer for RCA in Meadow Lands, until the time of its closing. He then pursued his dream of working as a law enforcement officer by becoming employed as a deputy sheriff in Fairfax County, Va., for 17 years, until his retirement.
He enjoyed fishing, was an avid sports fan, had a passion for golf and loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are a brother, Ronny Luongo of Washington; a sister, Patti Brennan of Plum; a nephew, Patrick Brennan of Plum; two aunts; and several cousins.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., corner of Wilson and East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, where a blessing service will be held at noon Monday, October 22. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
