Stanley Alan Hamlin

Stanley Alan Hamlin, 72, of Loganville, Ga., previously of Pittsburgh, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018, in his home.

He was born in Washington August 17, 1946, a son of the late Henry Hamlin and Ida Mae Patterson Hamlin Lea. Graduating from Monessen High School in 1964, Stanley was a prominent defensive player from 1964 to 1967 at The Ohio State University.

Mr. Hamlin was employed by CTG for over 20 years as a human resources specialist, until his retirement in 2006.

Known for his passion for Polo and impeccable sense of style, he enjoyed card playing, football, golf and traveling.

Stanley is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara Owen Hamlin; children Patricia (Jason) Owen Monsure of Decatur, Kevin Hart of Cleveland and Ryan (Monica) Hamlin of Washington; grandchildren Jordan and Casey Hart, Jason Jr., Jackson and Ariel Moncure, Ny’Sere and Ny’Jon Hamlin; Siblings Kim (John) Lea-Campbell and Tana Lea, both of Washington; and an array of extended family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Owen.

Per Stanley’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Contributions may be made, in his memory, to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation via tribute.themmrf.org/stanhamlin.
