Stanley R. Clutter
Stanley R. Clutter, 79, of Claysville, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 20, 2018, in his home, surrounded by family.
He was born August 25, 1939, in Enon, the middle child of Havel and Sara Margaret Beabout Clutter. He was the brother of Shirley Plants and Earl Clutter.
Stanley was a 1957 graduate of Claysville High School.
He was a first class gunner (4.2 mortar), marksman (pistol) and sharpshooter (rifle) in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1962. He was a social member of Claysville American Legion Post 639, Washington Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 927 and Washington Moose Lodge 22.
Stanley wrestled in high school and at the YMCA. He also enjoyed football and professional sports.
He married Maryann Newman in 1965, and they had three children, Rodd, Chad and Gretchen.
Stanley retired from Allegheny Ludlum Steel in 2004.
He was an avid hunter, who enjoyed being active in the lives of his grandsons, Rodd Ray Allison and Tristan Clutter, Christian Clutter and Noah Clutter.
Many family, friends and neighbors have shown great kindness and support.
