Tonia L. Hooker

Tonia L. Hooker, 31, of Carmichaels, died unexpectedly Tuesday, October 23, 2018, in her home, after a lengthy illness.

She was born March 27, 1987, in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of Andrew Stephen and Georgetta J. (Garrison) Burich of Greensboro.

Tonia attended Southeastern Greene schools and Open Door Christian School in Lippencott. She was a loving and dedicated mother.

Surviving are her son, Tayvin K. Chipps, at home; two brothers, Aaron J. Hooker and wife Terri, and Andrew S. Burich III, all of Greensboro; two sisters, Andrea N. Burich of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Desiree L. Hussain and husband Shan of Boynton Beach, Fla.; her maternal grandmother, Mable Jane Garrison of Greensboro; and two nephews, Asher Hussain and Shawn Hooker.

Deceased are her maternal grandfather, George Garrison, and her paternal grandparents, Andrew Stephen and Faye Burich.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Yoskovich Funeral Home, 724-966-5500, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director, 300 South Vine Street, Route 88, Carmichaels, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 26. Pastor Garry Cobert will officiate. Interment will follow at Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Mapletown.
