Betty J. Harrison
Betty J. Harrison, 64, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Friday, October 26, 2018, in Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg.
She was born December 31, 1953, in Cecil, a daughter of the late Leona Hancock.
In 1982, she married the love of her life, Charles Harrison Jr., who passed away in 1996.
Betty was a loving mother to her children and was the ultimate caretaker. She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at Canonsburg Hospital, when it was located in the city. She loved to cook and bake and enjoyed shopping with her son, Charles. She had a great sense of humor and could see the brighter side of things even in difficult times.
She is survived by her son, Charles Harrison III of Canonsburg; daughter Michelle Kunkle of Bentleyville; brother Kenneth Hancock of North Carolina; and niece Sabrina Hancock.
She is sadly missed by her cat, Muffins, who continues to look for her at home.
Betty will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Friends are welcome at 2 p.m. Friday, November 2, for a memorial service in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor and Darla A. Tripoli, LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120. Interment will be private.
