Rose M. Kasula
It is with great sadness the family of Rose M. Kasula, 93, of Marianna, shares her passing Saturday, October 27, 2018, in Premier Washington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Chartiers Township.
She was born October 2, 1925, in Liverpool, England, a daughter of the late John and Mary Moore.
On April 21, 1945, in Liverpool, she married John Kasula Sr., who died March 18, 2003.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a good friend to all who knew her. She was also a faithful member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish (Sts. Mary and Ann Catholic Church) in Marianna.
She enjoyed planting flowers, yard sales, ceramics, taking care of her dogs, including strays, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are three sons, John J. Kasula Jr. (Georgia) of Washington, Brian A. Kasula (Teri) of Watauga, Texas, and Michael R. Kasula (Katherine) of Marianna; grandchildren Michelle (Jeff) Engle, Melissa (Erin) Kasula, Gina (Robert Jr.) Jenkins, Michael (Lauren) Kasula, Kerry Kasula, Amanda Kasula and Dana Kasula; great-grandchildren Elizabeth Engle, Jason Engle, Cole Kasula, Cain and Hunter Jenkins, Ellie Rose and Emmaline Kasula; sisters Margaret Moore Davis of California and Helen Nolan of England; brothers John, Francis and Kevin Moore, all of England; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a son, Kevin F. Kasula; grandson John James Kasula; sisters May Laughlin and Betty Cross; and brothers Walter and Brian Moore.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, in Sts. Mary and Ann Catholic Church (St. Katharine Drexel Parish), Marianna. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church by 10 a.m Wednesday. Interment will follow in Sts. Mary and Ann Catholic Cemetery, Marianna.
