Gino Carmone Cecchine
Gino Carmone Cecchine, 20, of Amity, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018, in his home, with his best friend, his Boston terrier, Loui, beside him.
He was born January 25, 1998, the first of three beautiful children born to Frank and Lynne Earnest Cecchine of Amity.
A 2016 graduate of Trinity High School, Gino was a drilling reservist with the U.S. Marine Corps and worked in maintenance for Trinity Area School District.
He was involved with 4H for nine years, soccer, trap shooting and the Ten Mile dartball team. In addition, he wrestled for 12 years, including his time on Trinity High School’s varsity wrestling team.
He enjoyed parkour and playing PlayStation 4. He loved his pink shirts, pink shoes and red Beats headphones.
Gino was the kind of guy who left a penny heads up on the ground to give someone else a good day.
He was a member of North Ten Mile Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a brother, Dante Marone Cecchine of Parris Island, S.C.; a sister, Angelina Gianni Cecchine of Amity; paternal grandparents Tina Cecchine of Marianna and Bonnie Cecchine; maternal grandfather Richard Earnest; paternal great-grandmother Edith Mercante of Marianna; paternal great-grandparents Fred and Jean Cecchine of Deemston; and aunts and uncle Stacey and Jim Coon of Washington, Kristen “Kiki” Earnest-Deems of Marianna and Olivia Cecchine of Fredericktown.
Deceased are his paternal grandfather, Russell Cecchine, and his maternal grandmother, Patricia Earnest.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 1, in North Ten Mile Baptist Church, 312 Ridge Church Road, Amity, with the Rev. Gary Schneider officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with military rites accorded by the U.S. Marine Corps and American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
