Mary E. Jennewine
Mary E. Jennewine, 89, of New Freeport, died Monday, October 29, 2018, in her home.
She was born June 4, 1929, in Morgantown, W.Va., a daughter of the late Walker Stalnaker and Mabel Morford Stalnaker.
Ms. Jennewine was a registered nurse, retiring from Louis A. Johnson Veterans Administration Hospital in Clarksburg, W.Va.
She was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Army Nurse Corps. She was a member of American Legion Earl Kiger Post 120, Hundred, W.Va.
Mary was Protestant.
Surviving are her stepdaughter, Louise Robinson of Morgantown; two brothers, Roger Stalnaker of New Freeport and Larry Stalnaker of Charleston, W.Va.; a sister, Patricia Johnston of Point Arena, Calif.; a grandchild, Marcy Myers of Charleston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Edgar C. Jennewine Jr., and sister, Kathryn Clelland.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, November 1, in Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Dolls Run Cemetery, Core, W.Va.
