Joseph B. Koval
Joseph B. Koval, 76, of Washington, died Sunday, September 2, 2018, in his home.
He was born September 28, 1941, in North Charleroi, a son of the late Joseph Koval and Dorothy Acton Sheehan Koval.
Joseph was a 1959 graduate of Monessen High School and graduated from Penn State with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
He was U.S. military veteran of both Air Force and Army Special Forces 101st Airborne Division, Camp Dawson in Kingwood, W.Va. He had over 100 jumps while in the military.
Joe retired from Washington Redevelopment Authority and began Joseph B. Koval Real Estate in 1972 in Washington County. He was a board-certified state appraiser for commercial and industrial farm and residential.
He enjoyed boating, traveling and spending time with his family and dog Ryder.
Surviving are son Christopher Koval of Washington; two daughters, Vicky (Cary David) Posey of Wheeling, W.Va., and Carrie (Jeremy) Richter of Washington; granddaughter Ava Lynn Richter of Washington; sister Patricia Sheehan Brock of Casa Grande, Ariz.; nephew Jason Raymond Sheehan of Meriden, Conn.; and great-nieces and nephews, Jameson Timothy Sheehan, Bernadette Elizabeth Sheehan and Dorothy Marie Sheehan.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. the time of service, Thursday, September 6, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with J.J. Roller officiating.
