Joseph Eugene Bianchi, 80, of McDonald, was reunited with his beloved wife, Donna, on the morning of Thursday, September 6, 2018, in TownView Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg, following a brief illness.

Joe was born July 28, 1938, in Washington, the only child of the late Joseph and Roseline Fuller Bianchi of Bulger.

Joe was a 1956 graduate of Union High School and a 1960 graduate of Davis and Elkins College, where he was a brother of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1967.

From 1969 to 1983, Joe was owner of Bianchi Chevrolet Oldsmobile in McDonald. He later worked for Tomsic Oldsmobile Cadillac, until his retirement in 2006.

On July 21, 1962, Joseph Eugene Bianchi married Donna Kay Wagner of Sturgeon, and spent 55 years as her loving and devoted husband. Together, they created a family rooted in love, kindness and generosity. Joe was his family’s rock, their safe place and by far everyone’s greatest supporter. He loved without boundaries, supported without question or judgement and inspired all to be as kind, selfless and compassionate as he was every day. He was a dedicated father and a doting grandfather and great-grandfather, who took pride in his family’s accomplishments, no matter how small. He loved nothing more than watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and play, and he took every opportunity to show them all the love and encouragement he could. He always had a friendly smile or word and was magnanimous in a way that will make him missed by everyone who knew him.

Surviving are a daughter, Tracy (John) Werhel of Burgettstown; a son, Joseph (Kim) Bianchi Jr. of McDonald; seven grandchildren, Trista (Ben) Snatchko, Bill (Kylee) Craig, Joseph (Emily) Bianchi, Adam Werhel, Bryce Craig, Kristina Bianchi and Jordan Bianchi; six great-grandchildren, Lorelei, Waylon, Alivia, Henry, Charlee and Annika; sister-in-law Dessie (Joseph) Almady of McDonald; nephew Keith (Darcy) Almady and their children; and brother-in-law Richard (Helen) Wagner and their family.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Thomas-Little Funeral Service Inc., 314 West Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, 724-926-2800, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 11. Interment will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
