Geraldine J. Revay
Geraldine J. Revay, 85, of Paris, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018, in Liza’s Place, Wheeling, W.Va.
She was born November 5, 1932, in Cedar Grove, a daughter of the late Joseph and Zoe Delahaut Donovall.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband of 54 years, Edward Revay, who died in 2008; son-in-law Mark Bischof; sister Josephine Baker; and brothers Joseph, Leo and John Donovall.
Gerry was a faithful member of Paris Presbyterian Church, where she served as Sunday school treasurer for many years. She was a member of the faithful servants, quilt club and Thursday mat-making club.
She was salutatorian of her Avella graduating class. She was a stay-at-home mother of five children who was always involved with her family. She made sure all five graduated from college.
Gerry was instrumental in the formation of the Hanover girls softball league.
Surviving are her daughters, Dr. Janet Bischof of Wheeling, Susan Pascasio of DesMoines, Iowa, and Marie Bell Brown (Dennis) of Monroe, N.C.; sons Robert Revay (Deanna) of Forest, Va., and Thomas Revay (Mary) of Fairfax, Va.; grandchildren Thomas, Daniel, Victoria, Jessica (Charles), Jason (Ilka), Becky (Cameron), Tracy, Lauren (Joshh), Nikki (Justin) and Phillip; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother Neal Donovall (Melva) of Burgettstown.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, W.Va. An additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Monday, September 10, in Paris Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Susan Spencer-Smith presiding. Burial will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence.
