Earl Raymond Hemphill
Earl Raymond Hemphill, 53, of Monongahela, lost his battle with lung disease Monday, September 3, 2018, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born July 11, 1965, in Philipsburg, a son of Connie Hampton Hemphill, who survives and resides in Osceola Mills, and the late Raymond Earl Hemphill.
Earl was employed since 1997 in the maintenance department at Washington Post Office.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a disabled American veteran. He was a member of Roscoe Gun Club and Cokeburg Moose Lodge.
He was a loving husband, stepfather and pappy. Earl was full of life and loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He made people laugh and always had a smile for you if he knew you were having a bad day. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Constance Ziegler Hemphill, with whom he celebrated five years of marriage August 22, 2018; three daughters, Leya and husband Cliff Mitchell of Bentleyville, Shyanne Hemphill of Eighty Four and Stephanie Cubilla of Ellsworth; two sons, Benjamin Leonard of Ellsworth and David McWilliams and Charlene Yakich of Monongahela; four grandchildren, Jocelyn and Aurora Conselyea, Adela Leonard and Bryan Mitchell; two sisters, Wanda and husband Joseph Phillips of Osceola Mills and Rose and husband Mark Kephart of Houtzdale; and two brothers, Delmar Henry of Philipsburg and Tom Hemphill of West Decatur.
Deceased, in addition to his father, is a sister, Teresa Breshears.
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Earl’s life from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, in Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela.
