Ronald E. Stumpf
Ronald E. Stumpf, 81, of Columbiana, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018, in his home.
Mr. Stumpf was born July 22, 1937, in Latrobe, a son of the late William II and Regina Dunlap Conrad.
He worked as a spectographer for the former Jessop Steel Co., currently Allegheny Ludlum.
Ronald was very active in his faith, having been an elder at Covenant Life Church in Washington, a Eucharistic minister at St. Hilary Church in Washington, and a most recent member of St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, Columbiana.
His pastimes included hunting, fishing, reading, landscaping and praying. He enjoyed being philanthropic; giving to everyone, including sponsoring children overseas and to many Christian organizations.
Surviving are his wife, the former Sheila Dutton, whom he married June 29, 1957; three daughters, Darla Mullen of Columbiana, Renae Stumpf of Powell and Kelly (Michael) Lesko of Columbiana; two sisters, Patricia (Ralph) D’andrea and Jeannine (James) Dhayer, both of Washington; four grandsons, Jesse (Kristy) Mullen, Steven (Kristi) Slater, Jack Slater and Philip Slater; and many nieces and nephews.
A son, Mark Stumpf, and a brother, Robert Stumpf, are deceased.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 17, in Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, Columbiana. Burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery.
