Josephine Tomsic, 98, of Washington, formerly of Strabane, died at 5:04 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018, in Donnell House, Washington.

She was born December 25, 1919, in Washington, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Peremska Mrukot.

Mrs. Tomsic was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and doing yard work. Mrs. Tomsic will be remembered by her family and friends as a kind and loving person who always had a smile for everyone. She will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Tomsic was the last of her immediate family. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her father and mother, deceased are her husband, Jacob Tomsic, who died March 21, 1999; brother Frank Mrukot; and three sisters, Mary Blose, Caroline Smith and Anna Miller.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon, the hour of a blessing service, Monday, September 17, in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. The Rev. Don Chortos will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
