Celeste Diane Dates

Celeste Diane Dates, 72, of Washington, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018, in UPMC-Montefiore hospital, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness.

She was born September 13, 1946, in Washington, a daughter of the late Otis Johnson and Nellie Owens Brown. Mrs. Dates was a homemaker and caregiver. She enjoyed reading and playing cards, but most of all, Mrs. Dates loved caring for her family. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are son Terrell James Wade of Washington; sister Laura McCormick of Georgia; and three grandchildren, Haidyn Wade, Carter Wade and Nova Wade. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her father and mother, Mrs. Dates was preceded in death by brother Edward Austin and sister Esther McKinney.

Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m., the hour of service, Sunday, September 23, in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. The Rev. Sonja Wilson will officiate. Interment will be private.
