Virginia Julia Eiler
Virginia Julia Eiler, 96, of McDonald, died Thursday, September 20, 2018, in Presbyterian SeniorCare Network – Southmont, Washington.
She was born June 18, 1922, in McDonald, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Pivak Rehak.
A graduate of Cecil High School, Mrs. Eiler was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, McDonald, and the church’s Altar Society. She was a volunteer for the McDonald Meals on Wheels program and a member of McDonald Women’s Club.
On May 15, 1946, she married Edward C. Eiler, who died August 2, 2011.
Surviving are a daughter, Elaine (William) Norling of Struthers, Ohio; two sons, Edward “Scooter” (Deborah) Eiler of Coraopolis and David (Rita) Eiler of McDonald; five grandchildren, Brian Lesko, Sarah (Sean) Toulouse, Edward (Brianne) Eiler, Steven (Terri) Eiler and Rick (Jen) Phillips; and seven great-grandchildren, Sydney and Shayne Toulouse, Grayson and Addison Eiler, Cameron and Taylor Eiler and Brianna McCormick.
Deceased are two brothers, Michael and Joseph Rehak, and two sisters, Grace Wade and Julia Rehak.
Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday in Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 East Lincoln Avenue, McDonald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, in St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 219 West Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, with the Rev. Ben Vaghetto as celebrant. Everyone is asked to meet at the church Tuesday. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Vincent DePaul, care of St. Alphonsus R.C. Church 219 West Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, PA 15057.
