Raymond Perko
Raymond Perko, 87, of Rivesville, W.Va., died Monday, September 24, 2018, in his residence.
He was born October 18, 1930, in Santiago, a son of the late Albert Perko and Isabella Andreini Perko.
Mr. Perko was retired from Jones & Laughlin Steel, where he had worked for many years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War.
Mr. Perko was the first inductee in the West Allegheny High School Hall of Fame for baseball and he also played minor league baseball.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Seifert Perko, to whom he had been married for 64 years; a son, John Perko of Pittsburgh; four daughters and their husbands, Frances Henderson and husband Ronald of Claysville, Lee Ann Perko of Santiago, Rebecca Laxton and husband Dick of Grant Town, W.Va., and Ruth Scott and husband Ken of Follansbee, W.Va.; two brothers, John Perko of McDonald and Donald Perko of Moon Township; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
