Ruth C. Dowler
Ruth C. Dowler, 97, of Harmon Creek, passed away Monday evening, September 24, 2018, in Asbury Heights, Mt. Lebanon.
She was born October 9, 1920, in Bulger, a daughter of the late Samuel G. and Martha A. Scott Culley.
A 1938 graduate of Union High School in Burgettstown, she was a homemaker.
She was Presbyterian.
Her husband, Harry B. Dowler, who she married August 27, 1942, passed away February 5, 1993.
She is survived by three children, Don C. Dowler of Burgettstown, Lee W. Dowler of Meadville and Amy J. Longo and husband Sam of Moon Township; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Benjamin, Ross and Neil; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are her daughter-in-law, Dianne Dowler, and eight brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 27, with the Rev. Cinda Isler officiating. She will be laid to rest in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
