Daisy Marie Ealy Mounts
Daisy Marie Ealy Mounts, 72, of Mt. Pleasant, Ohio, formerly of Claysville, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018, in Wheeling (W.Va.) Hospital, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Mounts was born June 10, 1946, in East Finley, a daughter of the late Brinton Ealy and Mary Eleanor Cain Ealy.
In 1964, she graduated from McGuffey High School, where she achieved a 33-year career in food service, retiring as the school district’s cafeteria manager.
On September 25, 1964, she married William S. “Bill” Mounts Jr. Together, they made their home in Morris Township, Washington County, where they raised two daughters.
Mrs. Mounts was a member of Fairmount United Methodist Church in West Finley. She lived her life as an example where God always came first, followed by her family, friends and dog Max.
She pursued various hobbies in her retirement, including knitting, Sudoku puzzles and daily journaling. She was a known, avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan. One of Mrs. Mounts’ greatest pleasures in life was a bowl of ice cream, with white house cherry being her favorite.
Surviving are two daughters, Lisa M. Randolph of Mt. Pleasant and Leslie (Lou) O’Bradovich of Adena, Ohio; a grandson, David Randolph; four stepgrandchildren, Rachel (Matt) Brosnahan, Michael (Brandy) O’Bradovich, Jesse (Becky Zeroski) O’Bradovich and Lindsay (Travis) Stanifer; five great-grandchildren, Ian, Ava, Michael Jr., Sophia and Olivia; a sister, Ruth (Tom) Crouse of Prosperity; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and their families.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, William S. “Bill” Mounts Jr., who died in 2011, and a brother, Roy Ealy.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Fairmount United Methodist Church, 120 Fairmount Church Road, West Finley, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 29, with Pastor Scott Lawrence and Elder Robert Hughes co-officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, East Finley.
