Tillie Marie Davis
Tillie Marie Davis, 94, of Hedgesville, W.Va., former of Jefferson, died Monday, April 15, 2019, in Bunker Hill, W.Va.
She was born December 14, 1924, in Washington, a daughter of the late Isreal and Grace Robinson Shriver.
Marie was a 1944 graduate of Jefferson High School and went on to work as a nurse’s aide for the former Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg.
She had resided for many years in Sharpneck Hollow in the Jefferson area and was a member of Jefferson Church of the Nazarene for 75 years.
On June 20, 1943, she married Allen A. Davis, who died November 21, 2006.
Surviving are a daughter, Florence Reggetts of Hedgesville, W.Va.; son Samuel P. (Carol) Davis of Kearneysville, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Janice Whitacre, Patricia Forquer, Stephen Reggetts, Connie Cunningham, Paul Davis and Rebecca Staubs; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Morris of Weirton, W.Va. and Stella Willy of Aliquippa.
Deceased are three sisters, Catherine Cox, Mary Bargerstock and Agnes Roberts; and a brother, John Shriver.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Behm Funeral Homes, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in Jefferson Church of the Nazarene, 168 South Washington Street, Jefferson, PA 15344, with the Rev. Carl Kibler officiating. Interment will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery, Khedive.
