William K. “Bill” Grooms, 58, of Waynesburg, passed away after failing health the last few months, Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born September 25, 1960, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Kenneth and Patricia Parker Grooms.

Bill graduated from Waynesburg Central High School Class of 1978. He was employed by R.G. Johnson Shaft Co. as a superintendent for more than 20 years. Bill was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles 598 and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 123 in Waynesburg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

He is survived by his two sisters, Sharon (Bob) Patterson and Kathy Huffman, both of Waynesburg; grandson Damien Grooms; nieces and nephews Kenneth (Julie) Patterson, Melissa Patterson, Josh Huffman and Megan (Nate) Kepler; and great-nieces and nephews Emily, Landon Patterson, Kaitlin Yeager, Larsyn and Charlee Huffman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Grooms, in 2015; brother George Lemley; and brother-in-law Dave Huffman.
