Clara Alice Wiggins
Clara Alice “Kay” Wiggins, 76, of Washington, formerly of Scenery Hill, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019, in Washington Health System.
She was born January 15, 1943, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Richard and Leona Orndoff White.
Mrs. Wiggins was a graduate of Kenmore High School.
Kay was a gifted artist and painter and operated Kay’s Barn Studio for over 30 years, where she taught art, painting and crafts, which was her lifelong passion.
She was a member of the Bentleyville Presbyterian Church and PTA.
Mrs. Wiggins had a love of horses, farming, cooking and baking. She was also a seamstress, making Bentworth band uniforms for many years. Kay was a very versatile person, having many talents. She even did all of her own remodeling.
Surviving are nine children, Belinda Brova of Washington, Craig Wiggins (Lisa) of Pensacola, Fla., Annette Wiggins of Houston, Texas, Carolyn Robins (Chris) of Wiltcher, England, Kathy Evans (Bruce) of Washington, Janice Pantely (Mike) of Port Orange, Fla., Sharon Parson (Jerry) of Morgantown, W.Va., Debbie Phillips (Shawn) of Jefferson and Holly Lacomb (Paul) of Gloucester, Va.; her significant other for 26 years, Gary Harrison; two brothers, Wesley and Richard White; a sister, Ellen Atkinson; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her first husband, Donald E. Wiggins; her second husband, Howard Wiggins; son-in-law Buddy Brova; and several brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Monday, August 5, in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd., 2830 Main St., Beallsville, with Pastor Sue Petritis officiating.
